ABOUT ME

 

I am a Denver mother of two boys, a wife, and a graduate of University of Wyoming with a fine arts degree in oil painting.  Aesthetics are important to me but due to the toxic nature of oil painting and having children present I found myself cut off from artistic expression.  Thankfully, through embroidery I have found a way to not only express myself but connect with traditional themes of craft, beauty, and culture in ways I would never have experienced otherwise.  Simple lines of thread form complex meanings in the same way that simple choices create complex lives.  I hope that you find in my creations an ability to express who you are through both traditional and modern themes.
